This App is AWESOME. Much easier to track on the phone instead of having to go to a PC. Lots of info and fun to use. Great Idea!!!

    All About Swimming

Swimming offers you a variety of benefits. Not only is swimming a fun change of pace from other exercises, it's also a great full-body workout. Swimming enthusiasts and trainers around the globe agree that the benefits are many and include the following:

    • Works all muscle groups
    • Good for all ages
    • Improves cardiovascular health
    • Strengthens and tones muscles
    • Increases endurance
    • Improves posture and flexibility

Swimming has been documented as a great exercise for improving the use of oxygen in the body without overworking the heart. As a very low impact exercise, swimming has been used by runners, bikers, and walkers to help them exercise without the constant strain on their body – allowing for an optional exercise for cardiovascular workouts.

    Know a Swimmer?

If your friend or relative is older, they have probably been swimming for a lifetime. Taking the trip to the pool is well worth the time: the health benefits can be recognized for years to come. Many swimmers are more than happy to provide information on training ideas, specific swimming strokes, and their overall weekly swimming schedule.

    Body Toning

Look at any long-term swimmer – they will be toned, especially in the shoulders, arms, back and legs. Try any of the three more popular strokes for a week (backstroke, breaststroke, or freestyle) and you will see a “toned” improvement.

Aerobic workouts, competitive swimming, therapy for physical ailments, and basic recreation are just a few of the swimming-related exercises that could make this activity the ideal exercise for you!
